Roots was born from a straightforward concept and the ambition to see it through. In 1973, Michael Budman and Don Green founded Roots, inspired by their love for Ontario’s Algonquin Park and all it symbolized. Starting in Toronto with footwear, Roots expanded to include premium leather bags, jackets, accessories, their iconic salt & pepper sweats, natural fiber clothing, and home goods. Our leather items have always been and continue to be crafted in Canada at our Toronto facility.
